Tumor Bank Ovarian Cancer Network
Welcome to TOC-Network. TOC is a group of dedicated scientists specializing in ovarian cancer research and rare gynecological tumors.
What we do
The Tumor Bank Ovarian Cancer (TOC) was established in 2000 by the Charité Women’s Clinic with the aim of enhancing the quality of translational research on ovarian cancer and rare gynecological tumors.
In 2004, this initiative led to the founding of the International Tumor Bank Ovarian Cancer Network (TOC Network). Its mission is to advance ovarian cancer research, improve communication between clinics and researchers, and establish uniform standards. To achieve this, collaborative systems and procedures for generating, storing, and documenting high-quality biological materials were developed, ensuring the integrity of anonymized data.
Today, the network comprises 13 international university hospitals, making the TOC the largest tumor bank in this field worldwide, with over 6,500 ovarian cancer patients and associated clinical data.
Research
We believe science is a community effort, and accordingly, we have been advancing the field by broadly and openly sharing our research.
